Music Suite

This week we changed our dramatic play area into a music suite!!! Some of the instruments we have included in the suite are: a guitar, auto harp, bongo drums, xylophones, rain sticks, maracas, and the ukulele. Today we even brought in a record player and were surprised how many children were familiar with it. Even though we have music with Ms. Brenda each week we continue to incorporate music into the classroom as much as possible. According to a statement in the Kindermusik brochure, "research proves that early integration of music into the daily routine means improving your child's ability to think, create, reason, and express." In addition to teaching music at Stephens College Children's School, Ms. Brenda is a certified Kindermusik instructor.
