Green Eggs and Ham

Tuesday, March 2 was Dr. Seuss's (Theodore Giesel) birthday. We celebrated by wearing crazy hats, making green eggs, and having college students read us several of his stories. The children seemed to enjoy wearing hats throughout the day, and even incorporated them into their play. Eating the green eggs was popular with some of the children, while others just had fun making them. You may want to spice things up at home and add some green food coloring to your eggs.

College students from the Childrens Literature class had a hands-on learning opportunity by reading Dr. Seuss favorites like, How the Grinch who Stole Christmas and the Foot Book. We had so much fun listening, we asked them to stick around and read a couple more. If you don't have any of his books at home and would like to borrow a few, let us know.
